Why are Work Boots Required?

Proper foot protection is required to prevent many mishaps in the construction and light industrial work field. There are several types of work boots to consider, depending on your work environment. According to the National Safety Council, it reported 180,000 foot injuries on average within a year. There are several ways to prevent that number from growing, it would just depend on the workers to practice safe working habits.

  1. PROTECTION FROM FALLING HAZARDS

Falling is one hazard that workers face day to day. For example, steel toed boots are most commonly required for the amount of protection they provide to one’s feet. From a metal beam to a Pile of wood, a pair of steel toed boots are sure to protect from serious damage.

  1. PREVENTS SLIPS, TRIPS AND FALLS

According to OSHA, slips, trips and falls make up 15% of accidental fatalities. A pair of non-slip work boots will help take precautionary measures while in the field.  Durability and greater traction are a few of many perks to consider when thinking about a pair of slip resistant boots.

  1. PROTECTS FROM WEATHER CONDITIONS

Similar to slip resistant boots, rubber boots enhance traction and ensure protection from a variety of weather elements. They will protect your feet and calf area from being soaked by mud, water or other wet conditions. Rubber boots are especially essential when the sun hides while the rain pours.
